This is an interesting case that we did with help from our specialist friends, Dr. Brent Douglas and Dr. Scott Yamaoka. Nice, young mom with advancing wear on her front teeth, gum recession and crowding. Many times these types of cases would get 8 or 10 crowns/veneers to make things look nice….we were able to get a great result with only restoring 2 teeth! This is ultimately healthier in the long run. Dr. Douglas positioned the teeth properly so that her day to day function would no longer damage her teeth, and Dr. Yamaoka did beautiful gum grafting to cover her roots. We helped by adding length to replace worn away enamel [helping Dr. Douglas to be able to position her teeth back where they belonged], and finally delivering 2 ceramic restorations on her front teeth to create a natural, healthy and attractive smile. Patient was thrilled and so were her oral health care team!
